TPG Gear/Tech: Old Man Walking

Ever think of ditching your iPod and going old school with a walkman? Remember the car full of cassettes? The coolness factor of having your music anywhere? Total nostalgia.

How many walkman's did you have? How many do you still have?

Random Page Clip: The Jesus Christ Campaign

Image:CampaignBook.jpg

Jesus Christ Campaign is a A OWoD story using OWoD Vampire rules for the WGG and GM'd by Time.
Campaign ran from the start of summer in 1992 to to the end of that summer.

This storyline was run for one summer only, and had a number of players that were only able to attend for that single summer. This was also the first real run at a large, mythical and massive scope storyline that I'd ever done and I must say it turned out wonderfully.

Not sure if this can be as good as Shaun of the Dead but it does look pretty fun regardless. They say Bill Murray is a guest zombie too.

Conspiracy Theory(s): Blow Up a Large Satellite

This falls under so many categories it's hard to keep it straight - which is probably by design. Apparently NASA thinks that blowing up part of the moon in search of ice is a good idea (they should check out northern MN anytime from Sept to May if they want ice that bad). Dollars to moon donuts says the rocket/missile doesn't actually hit it's published target but instead goes haywire and accidentally hits the spot where the US landed on the moon thus erasing one of our most glorious achievements ever - and just in the nick of time before the Chinese get up their to see for themselves.

TPG Gear/Tech: More Singularity

What do you get when you combine Google's nth degree cloud database (all Wolfram Alpha like) with the new Xbox controller (previously mentioned by Time) - one step closer to the end of humanity.

Hey, look what I taught the computer to do. We so deserve our impending doom

Ravings: Magic charms wreck Swazi stadium

Apparently players have wrecked artificial turf at Swaziland's main football stadium by putting magic charms, or "muti" underneath it. Holes have been cut and burned in the turf, so the muti can be placed underneath.

The local officials aren't having any luck finding the responsible people because:

"...it is difficult to take action as such rituals are often carried out at night."

Alt. Science/News: Sorry to Burst Your Bubble

BB gun pellet vs. soap bubble. You might be surprised at the result. OK - you won't but it's a cool image anyway. And for the life of me I can't tell which is faster - BB or soap entropy.

Conspiracy Theory(s): Xbox Will Destroy Us All

Xbox has been trying to figure out a way to battle the Wii's interactive controller for a while. That's not news. What is news is that they've done it by creating a system that can read emotions and requires no hand-held controller.

Just what we need. A "harmless" game system that will lull us into a false sense of security for the introduction of the first robot able to learn and act on its own moral code.

The singularity starts in your home.

Entertainment: No no no no

Buffy without Gellar? OK - kinda, maybe. Buffy without Whedon? Never. No. What? According to my sources (Yahoo) the owners of the Buffy IP are going to do a relaunch ala Star Trek with a new Buffy, new scoobs, new everything.

Look Hollywood! The new Trek proved you can't do a successful relaunch. Hell - Whedon himself proved that you can't remake a movie into a TV show and have people like it. Or vice versa (Firefly). This cannot possibly work

Critters: Tool Using Birds are a Threat to Mankind

Even though they've not been spotted using tools in the wild, these birds have proven that they can not only use tools, but make them as well. Sure, they've not used these skills to build weapons of mass destruction yet - but it's only a matter of time now...

Entertainment: Gamer (but not a real gamer)

Another from Hastur - and another movie twist to another classic. Well, classic if you consider Deathrace 2000 a classic. And how could you not?

Here's the formula I am seeing ... guy with accent in prison who wants to get out to see his wife and kid. Rapper turned actor who gives says it like it is dog. Kind of a famous actress from 15 years ago. Add paradigm of the moment. Shake. Stir. Simmer.

Turn me loose (No theme music from Saga? Disappointed)

Guess the HD was found missing mid-March.
