Don't Tell Me How to Act in a Philadelphia, Asshole!
My latest show is All in the Timing by David Ives; a series of one-acts. I am in Sure Thing, Variations on the Death of Trotsky and Philadelphia. Shows will be livestreamed April 16th, 17th, 18th at 7:30 PM. I enjoy all of these one-acts. They are existential, absurd, and hopefully funny - my kind of theatre.
In Sure Thing I play a fella in a coffee shoppe trying to gain the interest of a girl at a table reading a book. Everytime our conversation "fails" we restart, looking for that perfect combination of words, tone and inflection that gets us out of the coffee shoppe and off to the movies.
In Trotsky I play Trotsky, on the day of his death. A mountain climbers axe is buried (smashed, dear, its smashed not buried) in his skull and he dies repeatedly on his way to the long forever.
In Philadelphia I play a guy in a diner who helps his friend understand and cope with being trapped in a Philadelphia.
I have little idea what livestreaming actually is but I hope to "see" you there.
